BROADEMPSTON PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS PRESENT ROALD DAHL’S MATILDA JR.
Sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty if you want to change your story!
Broadhempston will be filled by the smell of rebellion when their primary school pupils present Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR. to celebrate the end of the school year.
Based on the beloved book Matilda by Roald Dahl and adapted from the award-winning full-length musical, Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR. tells the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. But will her cleverness and courage be enough to withstand the reign of Miss Trunchbull?
Early on in the performance, Matilda sings, ‘Even if you are little you can do a lot’ and the children certainly prove that by joining together and working hard to create this musical extravaganza for their community.
Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR. is presented through special arrangement with and all authorised materials are supplied by Music Theatre International. The production has been supported by a special grant from The Ella Philp Fund linked to The Helen Foundation which is an arts-based charity that motivates, inspires and supports young people in all branches of the arts in Teignbridge, South Devon. This special fund has been made possible following donations generously offered after the tragic death at 19 of Ella Philp.
